Our Beliefs
The Bible
The Bible is the infallible and only authoritative word of God. God wanted His plan of salvation and His instructions for holy living to be made plain for all of humanity, and therefore He inspired the holy scriptures to be written. 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Proverbs 30:5
The Trinity
There is one God without beginning or end existing in three co-equal Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are in full agreement and possess perfect unity. Genesis 1:26, Matthew 28:19, Isaiah 9:6, Deuteronomy 6:4
The Father
God is a loving Father. He is good and completely worthy of our trust. He is compassionate and faithful to His people and His promises. He is great, all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, and holy. It is in Him that we live, move, and exist. Acts 17:28, Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 100:5
The Son
Jesus Christ became flesh to reveal God to man and rescue the world from evil. He, being fully God yet fully man, is the only person to live a sinless life. He was born of a virgin and took the weight of sin on the cross so that mankind could be free from the penalty of sin and creation would be redeemed. He rose from the dead on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory to rule the earth. The Holy Spirit
God the Holy Spirit indwells believers and assures us of our relationship with God. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Jesus. The Holy Spirit is manifested through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the church, demonstrate the validity of the resurrection, and confirm the power of the Gospel. The Bible’s lists of these gifts are not necessarily exhaustive, and the gifts may occur in various combinations. All believers are commanded to earnestly desire the manifestation of the gifts in their lives. These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of Biblical parameters. Salvation
Salvation comes through faith in Jesus and only through faith in Jesus. No one can earn or deserve salvation, but God offers it freely to all who would call on Jesus. The moment a person places their faith and trust in Jesus is when that person becomes born again. All of their sins are washed away, and they can begin a relationship with the living God. Ephesians 2:8-9, Galatians 2:16, Titus 3:5
Sanctification
Those trusting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith, be baptized, and continually grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus. Romans 10:9, Acts 2:38, 2 Peter 3:18
The Church
The church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue the task of reaching the lost and discipling the saved, helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ. Ephesians 4:1-16
Eternity
People are created to exist forever. When we die, we will either exist eternally separated from God because of sin or in union with God through salvation that comes through faith in Jesus. Heaven and hell are literal places. Ecclesiastes 3:11, John 17:24, Revelation 20:10,15
